Hotel AI interpretation in Malaysia: keep the receivers, add the channels

If a Malaysia hotel or convention venue already owns infrared or RF interpretation receivers, do not start by renting a new kit for every chair. Keep the transmitter and the handsets. Add selected Pikka Speech language channels into a compatible transmitter input, and leave phones as overflow — not as the only plan on banquet Wi-Fi.

Who this page is for — and who it is not

This is for in-house AV, production companies, and organizers who already know the ballroom has a transmitter and a case of receivers from past multilingual banquets. It is not a preferred-hotel list. Pikka Speech does not claim partnerships with named hotel groups, and it does not replace the venue’s own AV approval process.

If the venue has no receivers, do not invent a hardware project. Use the QR and phone path on the Malaysia events hub. If the programme is a multi-day conference with a booth rider, read conference interpretation in Malaysia first.

Keep the last metre on IR or RF

Guests who already know channel 2 for Chinese should not be forced onto a phone because the language source changed.

Take banquet Wi-Fi off the critical path

Receivers do not make the system offline. They only move listener audio off the guest network. The Pikka workstation still needs a tested uplink.

Patch, do not jury-rig

A laptop headphone jack into a transmitter is not a plan. Use a professional interface and the connector the rack documentation names.

The hotel-ballroom signal path

The functional chain is mixer → Pikka Speech → professional audio output → compatible transmitter input → existing receivers. The full checklist, including what not to assume about headphone jacks and channel counts, is the mixer-to-transmitter how-to. The product-category page is AI simultaneous interpretation system.

  1. 01

Take a speech-forward mixer feed that includes podium, handheld, and any remote caller.

  2. 02

Run that feed into a Pikka host workstation with a rehearsed internet primary and backup.

  3. 03

Create only the language channels you can monitor. Do not infer capacity from the 98 / 106 catalog.

  4. 04

Output each language on an independent professional path and patch the transmitter by documented level.

  5. 05

Label receiver channels to match the slide and the banquet team’s channel card.

  6. 06

Walk the room with real receivers: stage lip, back tables, and any balcony or foyer overflow.

What the hotel cannot decide for you

Language mix and price

Published units are $548 AI audio, $398 text-only, $250 caption display, and $49 per human channel. 25 listeners are included. Host and checkout stay on speech.pikkaai.com.

PDPA, house rules, and humans

Organizers should confirm PDPA questions, recording consent, and venue network rules with their own counsel and the hotel. Pikka does not certify those. Pikka also does not source interpreters when a banquet programme still needs a human channel.
